After a two week classroom training and one week ojt, we're set out to do a job that is dangerous and challenging. I am not comfortable working with many of my peers but believe we can correct this pattern problem.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Decent hourly rate and selection of benefits options.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I know that in an emergency situation that they would be there to help me.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
There is a significant lack of consistency and control in an environment where safety is paramount. The inability to trust the work of your peers is difficult and unsafe.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
We have to have training beyond the classroom start to ensure that we all remain consistent and safe. We need hands on trainers on the floor that know what to do correctly
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
We need to release those that are unwilling to do their part correctly. Train some of leaders on how to manage their teams with consistency and understanding combined with respect. Throwing newer people into unsafe situations due to lack of experience is unacceptable.
