Glad that I am hired as a former inmate to the position, because I have the skills. I dislike the resentment of other staff that I was an inmate.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Too many days at work.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Loosen up some. This is a minimum security, not Max. Different inmates.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Flexibility in teaching styles, allowing former inmates like myself to come back and teach.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am licensed in Calif. and AZ. $34 an hour in Calif. $24 in AZ. I want to move back to Calif.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Work 3 or 4 day shifts. This 5 day work week is archaic. Give people more than 2 days off. Work to live, not live to work.
