I enjoy this company, and I do believe there are good people here. But I do wish that they gave people more opportunity to advance and showed their employees that they value them in more ways.
What makes you most happy at work?
When everyone can work together to get the job done and support the mission.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I do not believe there is enough culture and diversity at this facility. There could be more.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The best things about our team are we have each other's backs. If someone needs help, we help.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I believe that the HR department in this company should be paid more than the detention officers, as they deal with more day in and day out. Regardless of if you are a specialist or a manager.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The thing I like the most about GEO leadership is that they believe from promoting within. I truly believe that no matter what time of degree you have, experience speaks volume. You can only gain the experience if you are given the oppurtunity.
