I love my company. GEO is the best company I've worked for. I want to remain at GEO and grow in my career with the possibility of creating opportunities for growth and fair compensation in my department in project development as a project coordinator.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The Respect, friendliness, and genuineness.
What makes you most happy at work?
Problem solving, productivity, negotiation, strategy planning and building, budgeting, project execution, vendor management, solving complex projects, and completing big projects.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I love the genuineness I experience with my team and other internal teams. The environment is welcoming and friendly, and everyone is helpful.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
We should have team meetings to understand the dynamics of each department. My team leaders are not knowledgeable about the function of our job, which is causing a disconnect with the job description, performance, and compensation. Promoting within will encourage those who are performing well.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
My department (project development) lacks acknowledgement & appreciation. Other departments have a better compensation/promotional system than my department. I strongly believe that we are doing more work than we are paid for. The pay does not match the current job market offer for project coord.
