Victra was founded as a partnership by Richard and David Balot in October 1996 in Wilson, North Carolina. Victra was incorporated as ABC Phones of North Carolina, Inc. in 1999. Today, Victra is independently owned and operated in Raleigh, North Carolina, with more than 200 people in the Store Support Center. In 2020, Victra opened its Communications Center, employing hundreds of team members who handle Verizon Consumer, Business, and Customer Care calls, along with Victra store support. The people are so kind and really try to help each other out.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We are sognificantly under the market value. I could be making 50% more somewhere else.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I wish the leadership team care about the development of their teams and not just themselves.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Stop being microagressive. Its crazy the type of racialized comments I have gotten from leadership. It really is a hostile environment for people of color.
