Victra was founded as a partnership by Richard and David Balot in October 1996 in Wilson, North Carolina. Victra was incorporated as ABC Phones of North Carolina, Inc. in 1999. Today, Victra is independently owned and operated in Raleigh, North Carolina, with more than 200 people in the Store Support Center. In 2020, Victra opened its Communications Center, employing hundreds of team members who handle Verizon Consumer, Business, and Customer Care calls, along with Victra store support. Most are eager to learn, some not so much.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Culture is great, execution can be lacking in some regards. Nothing changes if nobody knows.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like the fact that they seem to care about the people below them and not just their immediate reports.
What makes you most happy at work?
Having a good day that results in positive growth for me and the company inside company policy and standards. Looking forward to upward growth within the company for myself.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The change in manager pay was poorly launched. It didn't seem like anyone knew what was going on. Could not effectively explain compensation rates to the point it was not accurate to what was explained to me.
