Victra was founded as a partnership by Richard and David Balot in October 1996 in Wilson, North Carolina. Victra was incorporated as ABC Phones of North Carolina, Inc. in 1999. Today, Victra is independently owned and operated in Raleigh, North Carolina, with more than 200 people in the Store Support Center. In 2020, Victra opened its Communications Center, employing hundreds of team members who handle Verizon Consumer, Business, and Customer Care calls, along with Victra store support. Large growth from legacy Z Wireless, to A Wireless, to Victra. Overall compensation has increased over time, but lowered in the past year. Much better choices and changes once Rich took back over as CEO.

Positive and upbeat. We relate really well to each other. We execute together at a high level.
What makes you most happy at work?
Having an amazing sales day. Whether its slow or busy. Knowing we did our best and having the numbers to show it.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Changes from Selling Store Manager to General Manager has lowered my pay significantly. I am also expected to work 45 hours which was not disclosed upon the change. Commission pay structure has lowered for payout on higher tiers. Goals for months like February-April are based off December numbers
