Victra was founded as a partnership by Richard and David Balot in October 1996 in Wilson, North Carolina. Victra was incorporated as ABC Phones of North Carolina, Inc. in 1999. Today, Victra is independently owned and operated in Raleigh, North Carolina, with more than 200 people in the Store Support Center. In 2020, Victra opened its Communications Center, employing hundreds of team members who handle Verizon Consumer, Business, and Customer Care calls, along with Victra store support. Seeing the positive movement and growth of the individuals I get to impact, and am impacted by!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I feel challenged every day. I want to make my Leadership Team proud, because I feel invested in and empowered to do my job.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
It's fast paced, but it's directional, and I understand the direction! We celebrate, but monitor performance closely. We are always discussing what behaviors/actions will produce a better result.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I have the ability to impact my paycheck. Given the Role I'm in, I lead more through influence and that can be challenging, but the more I put in, the more I can take home!
What are some of the best things about your team?
I have built a Team of individuals that high performers want to be a part of. I give and receive feedback, and know that the lines of mutual respect are real. My Team makes me want to be a better Leader, and challenges me to be my best..without having to say a word!
