Joined 3 years ago and have been a people leader since. For a new manager it was a learning curve. Over the years I would have appreciated more continuous learning opportunities (in-person) w/ peers, beyond LinkedIn. Too much protection for the old guard. Too much tolerance for toxic employees
What are some of the best things about your team?
Friendly, good people, reliable, relatable, critical thinkers, respectful, professional, want to see Volvo succeed, passionate about their responsibilities
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Most are honest, down to earth people. They have the best interests of the brand at hand, passion for our mission and values, work with good intentions, are visible.
What makes you most happy at work?
My team, being at a growth company, always something that needs to be done, tackled, fixed, improved. I haven't been board in my 3+ years here and still stay energized by our team and company mission daily.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
People focused, work from home policy is fair, respect for time off (including weekends), rarely do I hear of people needing to work, against their will, on weekends/holiday. Anders being human and infuses that into his meetings/company. I appreciate his townhall approach.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I have explored other employment options and could command a minimum $20k raise if I were to leave, that becomes more attractive by the month with inflation pressures eating into expenses for a family. Volvo should issue a better salary increase (merit) or a retention one-time bonus like others
