The OCC seems underappreciated by Sr Mgmt, other than my direct reports. They treat us like our job is easily replaced by cheaper Indian contractors with low motivation and few talented personnel.

they haven't oursourced our team to HCL...... yet

They all want to improve the results and efficiency of the results the team produces
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Our team is very appreciated by our customers (the app maintainers) and the HCL contractors we are constantly training to replace us.
What did you like most about the interview process?
the technical questions, because I have many years of experience, and not only know the answers, but understand the reasons behind the particular questions asked.
What makes you most happy at work?
I am permitted and have the skills to work on improving the quality of the processes our team performs. I have the confidence of our management to do what's best for our department and company.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
IHG prefers to save money the old fashion way - outsourcing to inexperienced and unproductive Indian contractors. None of the application owners want to deal with HCL, they all wish the OCC-L2 team could deal with their issues, because we don't just do the minimum requires amount of work
