What does the leadership team need to get better at?
communication and need manager training, managers need to seperate friendship from work between employees and guest alike. this is a big problem at this hotel and stop hiring illegal people that work off the book 7 days a week and pay no taxes and are not in the system for payroll.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
undervalued in so many ways its very hard to keep it narrowed down. overall we were never allowed to get overtime unless you are the ones off the books and were allowed to work 7 days a week. Management was never open to any kind of staff meetings or any suggestions to better the company.

The pay is unfair, because even if you have a lot of experience in sales, you get paid the same as someone with absolutely no experience. So you tend to feel like your experience doesn't matter at all to them.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Staff meetings, which we never have, even after multiple employees requested one. Proper training which is never given. I had 1 night training before i was then left alone to now learn the business and system by myself.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
professionalism amongst the workspace. employees act like they are in their own homes with the language they use and the manner in which they speak at the desk or in the hallways. Very inappropriately which has lead to more bad reviews. better communication between departments.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
maintenance department needs to improve big time! Elevator has been up and down now for well over 4 months with the employees with no experience at all including myself sent into the room with the switchboard left uncovered and overheating constantly do a master reset to rescue guests over and over
