General Motors had destroy almost as many employees live Then people that Hitler murdered

  • For me I find life at work terrible. I find managers who cowardly deal with Union issues, twist the facts to make themselves look good to their superiors and then pat themselves on the back with a job well done. I have been able to put this hypocrisy behind me once I leave work and not take it home with me. Hopefully I will be able to continue to do so.

  • Work life balance is not very good. Working every weekend leaves no time for family.

In my department at General Motors, we don't think about her as anything special. 20 million dollars a year pay check, and they think we make to much. Plus nothing has changed since the bankruptcy, just have cash on hand to blow on useless over managed mistakes

  • I have great respect for the CEO. I thought the way she handled the Cobalt ignition switch recall was extremely admirable. I know she has bigger issues to deal with than the problems I see continue at my level but I wish she could be exposed to the true culture at Design Fab shops at the Warren Tech Center and see how she would handle it.

  • Great CEO, very good at bringing new products to market quickly. Need to improve on holding vendors accountable for quality of the parts.

Stop promoting people who seem to only be career-driven. They only care about their accomplishments and not about their subordinates, whom they overload with too much work, thus focusing on them not meeting timelines. This causes a high degree of stress for the employee as well as destroying any semblance of work / life balance.

  • Work with getting employees, earned time off, so we can have a like outside of General Motors. Plus maybe less employees would on sick leave and FMLA.

  • The GM team wants an extraordinary effort without allowing time for it

  • Very challenged

  • In the Design Fab shops not very. Managment tries to make it look like they want to improve and deal with issues but the reality is they sweep as many issues under the rug as they can. They operate under a do not make issues mentality rather than a let's solve issues and focus on continuous improvement
