Executive Bio

Mr. Robert B. Cushing, also known as Bob, has been Executive Vice President of Professional at Advance Auto Parts, Inc. since August 2016. Mr. Cushing is responsible for the operations of professional sales team in addition to WORLDPAC. Mr. Cushing joined Advance Auto Parts in January 2014 via the acquisition of General Parts International, Inc., which included the wholly owned subsidiary, WORLDPAC, Inc. He joined WORLDPAC via the acquisition of Metrix Parts Warehouse in 1999 and was named WORLDPAC's President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2008. Prior to serving as President and Chief Executive Officer, he served as Executive Vice President, Sales and Operations for the U.S. and Canada from 1999 to 2007. Prior to joining WORLDPAC, he held executive-level sales, marketing and operations positions with Metrix Parts Warehouse, Inc., Interco Parts Corporation and Robert Bosch Corporation. Mr. Cushing served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Operations for United States and Canada of Worldwide Parts And Accessories Corporation. He served as Vice President Sales for East Coast of Worldwide Parts & Accessories Corp. Mr. Cushing earned a bachelor's and Finance MBA from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.
