Silos, the whole company works in silos. Not effective.

Employees in NYC make those working in other locations feel second class. They tend to take credit on the backs of others in non NYC locales.

Leadership is Supportive amd engaged with all levels

The company is very inclusive of all minorities sometimes overly so, not EVERYONE wants to be part of a focus group

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
There is way too much turnover. In my service center where there were 1500 employees at one time, now it's about half that and the company appears to care much more about getting by today than planning for the future. More so than anything, I feel AXP is in a downward spiral.

Think about the individuals and not just your balance sheet

Way too many cutbacks impacting employee morale. Even if you feel appreciated by your direct leader you know deep down that their leadership couldn't care less about you as an employee.
