leadership is great, but retention is not. my area/region (i'm sure everywhere) are all short staffed

What are some of the best things about your team?
since we work so closely together we are all very close and cohesive. Again, we are short staffed so we all struggle together..
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Because of certain payers like tricare, we are always behind on aging, which makes our entire state not receive quarterly bonuses. I think that is ridiculous. I was also not even allowed to negotiate my pay when i was promoted. I was offered the entry level pay and my skills are not entry level.
