I am an Engineer at the OKC site. I have found management is very hit or miss. In 4 years I have reported to 7 managers in the same roll. I also found that the site has an issue with inline promotions, they don't like to give them and if they do the accompanying raise is typically theft.
What are some of the best things about your team?
People are friendly and eager to help. Most everyone gets along easily.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Boeing matches 100% up to 10% of the 401k contribution. It is nearly impossible to find elsewhere.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everybody is willing to help for the most part and everybody is fighting the same fight together.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The role I interviewed for was not a fit and the interview team got me hired for a role that was a good fit.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Managers are not engineers anymore. While they obviously have a foot in engineering they need to do more managing and less of the individual contributor work. I have requested 3 times in 3 weeks to have my end of the year performance review with no luck as to get one.
