
They need to focus on people first.
My company has lots of great concepts and programs that are very poorly executed. Accountability is absent almost everywhere except on the production floor concerning product delivery. Support staff regularly misses delivery of essential support, but production doesn’t have that option.
I sacrifice my most valuable assets, my time, my family’s time and my health. I physically build the world’s most advanced passenger jet utilizing very specialized skills developed over years with great effort. Yet I am paid at a rate comparable to a person who stocks shelves at a Costco.
Leadership doesn’t focus on the quality of the team members. They move people in and out as if they were pawns and as if anyone could perform our work. But our work is very specialized, not everyone can do it. So the strong carry the weak while the weak get paid more than the strong.
