I tell people all the time how much I love working for Calix. I think that, unlike past roles and companies I've worked for, Calix is a place that is making a difference in people's lives. Not only that, we are on the forefront of business opportunity - those two elements combined are powerful.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I think my team genuinely likes and respects one another.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Again, celebrating the success we have achieved through collaboration together.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I know that my base salary is very competitive as I just recently joined the company and had several conversations about comp while I was interviewing with other companies.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I appreciate the degree of transparency that the leadership team offers, and I also like how much appreciation, excitement, and celebration there is for accomplishments from teams across the business.
What makes you most happy at work?
I am a person who thrives on public acknowledgment and making my superiors happy with my quality of work. Second to that, I love leading a team of high achievers.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I really appreciate the positive, cheerleading attitude from every level of my report-to team. There are high expectations, but we arrive at top quality deliverables through positive means vs. other tactics I've seen at other companies.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone on my team is willing to share knowledge and pitch in to help when it's needed. Everyone is very sharp and brings unique skills and background to the table that makes us a very strong team.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like the level of transparency I see from them, how excited and positive they are about the work the teams are doing, and I like how they're willing to roll up their sleeves and give specific, direct guidance on the work we're doing.
What makes you most happy at work?
I am most happy when I'm flexing a skill and contributing to the success of the business. I'm just getting started, having joined at the start of the year, so looking forward to gaining more experience and 'how work gets done' at Calix knowledge.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I like how we are bonused every 6 months vs. annually. It's like having Christmas twice a year, and its great for new hires who don't have to wait for the next year to receive the extra bit of compensation that aligns to their work and efforts.
