Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Communication and hr person to speak on site

Review from Operations Dept

Currently compensation is engineered to be the lowest possible to maintain an acceptable attrition rate. Its designed to control costs, not provide incentive to stay, grow, and be productive.

Have been expected to do jobs well out of my job description and pay range by the higher ups but have been consistantly pushed back from trying to move up. The managers have been dragging me on for months for a position they will inevitably give to someone else

I would like to see compensation more pay instead of them constantly cutting our pay because a vehicle is remite generated or they already started tye buying procces online.

Review from Sales Dept

I was a Sales Manager for over 8 years and helped train two new Sales Managers with less experience. I was being paid the same as one and the other Sales Manager was paid significantly more. When I addressed the issue I was told there was no compression

greatly undervalued, they need to pay a living wage

they threw me away when i had a medical issue, they need to have more compassion and understanding of employee personal issues

The workload versus hourly wage compared to industry standards

More pay for the work I do as an RA1 Especially when there is a shortage of staff.

Company has made it to where a floor sales consultant has to get out twice as many cars to make the same as they were before the company introduced the call center

Better than $16.50 an hour

It's all about the money. Let's be honest. That's why people work. It's great to be fulfilled, but the bottom line is the bottom line. I sold traditional years and years ago. The game is the same today, the only difference is less pay and more effort. Customers and employees deserve the best.

That it would match the work load

Review from Admin Dept

The workplace environment is hostile to working, the managers are unprofessional and have attitude. Leader ship does not speak on what goes wrong and likes to avoid the situation. Also leader ship have other associates to delegate a situation causing a bigger problem. New hires don't last long.

I have been working at carmax for a year and stil am not given a personal day

Leadership pressures you to fix things that are out of your control.

base salary plus bonus/commission with sales consultant position

Better and fair pay, growth possibilities, professional management.

Most of our commission is being taken away due to the call center & customers going from store to store in addition to the call center, coupled with losing sales due to people not doing their jobs correctly. It’s really hard to make any money at CarMa

Review from Sales Dept

The pay scale is a little low for the job
