Having more insight on how the stores operate on day to day business. Who makes the impacts, and who is fluffing info and doin the old CYA all the time to protect themselves because all they want is a promotion by speaking about the success others have worked hard to accomplish and taking the credit
they need to find some compassion and caring for their employees
they need to show compassion and understanding, they are to fast to act to the detriment of the employee, leads to high turnover
Everything this store is losing too many employees
Focus on their associates not their share holders. Personally can not recall last store visit from a member of the leadership team
Communication and hr person to speak on site
Review from Operations Dept
Currently compensation is engineered to be the lowest possible to maintain an acceptable attrition rate. Its designed to control costs, not provide incentive to stay, grow, and be productive.
Have been expected to do jobs well out of my job description and pay range by the higher ups but have been consistantly pushed back from trying to move up. The managers have been dragging me on for months for a position they will inevitably give to someone else
I would like to see compensation more pay instead of them constantly cutting our pay because a vehicle is remite generated or they already started tye buying procces online.
Review from Sales Dept
I was a Sales Manager for over 8 years and helped train two new Sales Managers with less experience. I was being paid the same as one and the other Sales Manager was paid significantly more. When I addressed the issue I was told there was no compression
Coworkers are fine it’s just manage
Better communication and teamwork. Some employees like to pick and choose what they want to do. Also some employees like to ride the clock while others work hard. Also those employees choose to leave and have other staying long nights to finish all the closing duties, and it is a repetitive pattern.
Be better team members .
Be able to actually build geniuine bond
CarMax needs to stop hiring people with no prior automotive repair experience and start only hiring people with knowledge. The "we can train anyone to do this" mentality is horribly wrong and proves to be incorrect day in and day out.

Review from Operations Dept
they need to value their employees, HR needs to have understanding and compassion
need to get rid of a lot of the middle managers, they are nothing but a hinderance to the work
Replace manageers with true leaders who appreciate their people.
Hire qualified employees and pay them a decent wa
to be real in all ways
Review from Sales Dept
have people who actually know about the job interview the applicant
Takes way too long. The interviewer was late
The people interviewing seemed nervous
if you apply for a auto tech have someone who knows what a mechanic can do and not have a sales manager interview them

Communication and hr on premise
Review from Operations Dept
the upper management culture needs to go back to the old days, when they actually cared about their employees
They are rude they always complain
Review from Admin Dept
Better leadership is needed, including management. Everyone looks over the real problem and is not announced. The manager is always missing. And the assistant manager very unprofessional and needs management classes. Too many associates trying to be leadership and ate not being properly trained.
Car business is dying out fast
Co-workers who care as much as I do
Giving me less hours for the same amount of pay.
