That they are willing to make an effort even though they lack training and have been given no direction. Job duties are rarely defined get expectations extremely high even though management doesn't utilize the resources to make that possible.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Store managers get a bonus but do the least amount of work. Most can't even complete the daily task, audits or other paperwork that is supposed to be required. It is the ground team that should get quarterly bonuses. Without them bussiness would come to a stand still.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Listen, hear, acknowledge and be proactive in asking the employees how they are, what can you do and make them feel appreciated. Get to know the employees and let them get to know you. Break down the wall of superiority. Make it feel like a general store again. It feels like a cold corporation.
