I have been with the company for many years so now it is more about interviewing for different opportunities.
Seeing different employees outside of my department in the hospital here and there and touching base with them and seeing how they are doing etc.
The most positive thing is that we do not carry an ongoing caseload. At the end of the day, your work is done and you can go home until the next day. No checking voicemails etc. No on call
Having qualified members in management. Educated, experienced team members. Clinical licensed professionals overseeing clinical staff. Having management present and aware of the day to day within their departments. Effective scheduling for appropriate staffing and patient care.
We have a diverse team, with a variety of experience that is brought to the department. Everyday we learn something new from each other. We are always willing to help each other learn and grow even in a fast paced environment.
I know that I'm not compensated accordingly. There are staff in my department with less education, credentials and experience and make more than I do. New staff have been hired in at almost the same rate. Even after the market analysis and merit increases nothing was changed.
