They are listening and trying to make some changes
It's hard to tell because the leadership team changes every few months it seems. The private equity firm pulls all the strings and is not best for the company/customers/employees.
Experience in many areas; many different markets. That provides a wide perspective on problems as they arise. And they generally tend to work well together.
Transparency. There is a real attempt to share with the entire organization what is going on at all levels - to the extent possible.
The Leadership team is transparent. We have acquired alot of companies in a short amount of time. They are working to ensure our Customer is well taken care of while helping support and grow internal talent. I'm excited to see all that 2019 will bring!
Allow for those with experience in helping teams and customers to do their job
Not being cheap to employees and pay respectably
Unlimited PTO plus reasonable health coverage for our entire family
Fair and equitable for the role in the organization
The company has tried to keep Benefits costs low for employees. Our rates did not increase for 2019 plans which is great. We have several employer paid benefits such as STD and access to an EAP. It's been challenging im sure to modify 30+ acquisitions on to one central plan.
Everyone is underpaid and given additional roles to back fill those no longer there. I believe the managers hands are tied in most cases, or in fear they will also be removed.
There are many software brands under Community Brands and those originally from YourMembership clearly have gender and personal bias complexes where salary, promotions, or yearly rating scores are concerned. Having worked with all of them, YM Careers ranks as the worst offender.
Employees are extremely underpaid. Needs to respect us financially
Passionate; hard working; dedicated and truly care about the mission
Our team members are happy and fun to work with. We have a lot of challenging obstacles to overcome everyday so it helps to have employees that are there to help one another.
Talented. Hard workers. Do they they need to get the job done (working overtime, weekends, etc)
Everyone has a genuine interest in the success of the company, not a self serving interest - for the most part that is.
People are the best part
YM Careers suffers from scapegoat syndrome and a toxic culture propagated through harassment. Teams under Product need high-level management to step back into their lane, be held accountable for their blatant discrimination and therefore allow team members freedom to think and act for themselves.
The employees and the passion they display for our customers and each other
We get to work from home.
The variability of the culture is what makes Community Brands a real community. And for the most part, it is not just ok, but encouraged to speak up with something seems off.
Transparency of information is key. There is also a real attempt to treat people fair and equitable. Everyone should feel as though they have a voice. If they do not, they are encouraged to bring that to the attention of leaders to flush out.
I think overall our culture and environment is positive. We have good people, trying to accomplish alot. The company has had much change and several acquisitions in the last year or so. The organization has gotten so big, very quickly that some of team members have struggled.
Ditch the bureaucratic BS and remove mid-level executives that are on record for harassment and selling Product Goals to clients and upper executives they've already confirmed to their department leaders they won't be able to reach.
I was young and the interview process was pretty easy. I was willing to accept less than what I wanted.
My interview process with Community Brands was very good. Overall I had timely follow up, good feedback and enjoyed the overall process

My team and the ability to coach and lead
remote office environment yet still connected to our entire team
Solving problems - There is never a lack of problems to solve, and I enjoy being part of the solution, not just the reporter of the problem
I love being able to contribute - love the fast pace. I'm a multi-tasker so this environment is one I thrive.
Listen to your employees. Get your ship in order. Stop buying so many companies and focus on the good employees that have been around. If 3 members of my team died, one of their biggest piggybanks would be years behind to catch up.
YM Careers has a decade-long track record of lying to consumers about road map progress and deliverables that unfortunately gives every brand under CB a tarnished reputation. There are so many great ideas from every level of team members that never see the light of day due to upper level management.
