I came on to Las Vegas market and it was a blast to work there. I was given the opportinity to transfer to Nashville to be closer to family. I have always felt supported, and am overall happy to work for DH.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Melody O'dell is devoted and takes pride in her team. She consistently goes above and beyond. Heidi is incredible as well.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Dispatch health as a whole generally cares for us, and wants to retain us. Melody O'dell is extremely supportive for nashville and I appreciate her. I am proud to work for dispatch health.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being able to take care of patients In their home, and take my time with them. Its a blessing to be able to keep them out of the hospital and tend to them when they cannot leave the house.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
When I transferred to nsh, there was a ton of tension, and it was very shady and toxic. Heidi has done an amazing job to listen and make the culture better. New staff has come on and they seem have values, and take pride in their job. It has improved, but we still have a few sour apples.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I made $68 in las vegas and was very happy with my rate. Originally my pay went down to $64 transferring to nashville. The cost of living is not less. In fact some things are much more, like childcare. I would be happy to go back to my original rate. That's all I ask. I always go above and beyond.
