When I started, I was very satisfied with my experience in the company. We had a great leader who was our advocate. Currently, our regional director is our interim lead - couldn't be a worse situation. We have a disingenuous, deceitful, hateful leader who is not approachable.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My coworkers keep me grounded. Through turmoil in the market/region, we keep each other accountable and grounded.
What makes you most happy at work?
Seeing my coworkers. Making an impact in the lives of my patients and getting to keep them at home.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Executive leadership seems interested in employees and satisfaction. There is always an opportunity to reach out regarding issues. However, local/regional leadership in Nashville and the mid-Atlantic region DO NOT value market employees. When concerns are brought to them, they dismiss them.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Culture is HUGE. In my market and region, our leaders dismiss all concerns we bring to the table - including negative talk regarding market employees by the market manager. There is significant inconsistency, inequity, and a lack of veracity by market leadership and regional leadership.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our Nashville DHMT and APP team is second to none. As commented by our central scheduler, "this team is the best that I have." We go out of our way to make people feel welcomed into our family. We are resources to each other - regardless of whether we're on shift or at home. We VALUE each other.
