Each year the stress and frustration build in my current job. This year is by far the worse I have experienced. I have had a great career in telephony, and I have given my all, and received a lot in return. I am grateful for the many, many good years.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We work together to get the impossible done. We communicate well. I have some of the best co-workers I have ever had.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I work with people who are experiencing the same stress and frustration. We can work together to relieve that stress, or find a solution to make things better for ourselves.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication. Getting the same instructions from each one. Listening to the ones doing the work before rolling something out that may work in 1 state, but not in others.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I retired and came back as an employee 4 years ago. I have had two 1% raises in 4 years, and the year they file bankruptcy, an approval is giver to give directors and above bonus'!!!! The people who actually make their numbers look good got nothing!
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The stress of the demands at my level are ridiculous. I shouldn't even be taking time to do this survey because I have so much I have to get done today. Backfilling jobs due to retirement, RIFs, in all areas has been unheard of. Everyone left has to pick up the work of the ones who left.
