At Verizon I had a raise every year along with a yearly bonus. We were shown videos of happy employees telling of FTR being this wonderful family and place to work. One yr working for FTR and out from under the VZ umbrella it was a nightmare, two of my VZ team mates were laid off.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The office I work in is diverse.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I don't use FTR anymore they are too expensive and I hear that from other customers. The bill goes up every month with more hidden fees, Customer service is bad, I know that personally calling in and hearing it from others who know I'm a FTR employee.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Pay more attention to they're employees and their needs at the work place with systems that work. We have done without raises and our benefits keep going up. Board members received their raises and bonuses during the Chapter 11, yet those of us who are actually essential employees received nothing!
What are some of the best things about your team?
We have each other's back. We are our only support team. If I have a question I will go to a teammate before I will go to my supervisor. I try and leave her out of the equation as much as possible. My team mates are the best. They will cover for you in a moments notice. They're great!
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Yes, I feel UNDERVALUED! It would make me feel better to get a regular yearly raise and more than 2%, I know I am WORTH MORE than that, with 23 years of experience. I work overtime and don't even payed or get compensated for it. I MAY get to use it as MAKE UP time if I have an appt. UNDERVALUED? YES
