Gap Inc. Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

It was 18 years ago

Clear questions to me and clear answers to my questions

Review from HR Dept

I liked being able to speak to so many people

the manager was very nice

The manager who, in interviewed me was very professional.

Interviewed 24 years ago, not alot of memory about the process

The manager that interview me transferred to a different store but it was like a conversation that bounced bsck abd forth. It was extremely easy and she made me feel comfortable.

Meeting those on the team who I would be working with

It was thorough and i met everyone that i would be working with through the process. I also really enjoyed the case study i was asked to complete as part of the process

Initially it was "We are such a great company to work for, top of line technology, etc..." but in reality technology ois horrible! Ipods never work, tablets at POS are constantly failing. Company even identified several stores with bad WiFi so they shut it off during holiday season

The Interactions with my manager

The manager tried to assess the soft skills apart from just the hard skills. And was very transparent that the interview was meant to find the 'right fit' and not to judge anybody

when they accept and don't know how hard it is to work

The interview process was not one-sided, even though it was virtual it was still on a personable level. Manager seemed intrested in the conversation. It was completed timely and efficiently.

good rasie and show good attitude

Review from Sales Dept

It really tests a candidate's feel for the job and if they have the right mindset for long-term success.

Review from Sales Dept

Openness on the environment that it

HR was prepared and asked important questions

Review from Sales Dept

I was hired in a large group and training was thorough

comfortable gestures and warm welcoming nature of the recruiters

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

It has been a long time since i really interviewed but i had an "interview" with my DM where i was told that the only way i was going to het a raise was if i worked more hours. Everytime i have an interview the company restructures, I loose a pay rate but am expected to do the same duties

Review from Sales Dept

Improve on communication. Dont ghost candidates mid process.

The interview are easy to pass here cause people who work for the company don't have a Degree.

I would ask more complex questions
