What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Need to reduce the number of unproductive meetings. Need to encourage productive discourse to work differently, and make better, faster decisions
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Changing corporate culture to work differently, i.e. make faster and better decisions to allow us to compete more effectively in the marketplace.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It was over 2 decades ago since I was interviewed as an external hire. I have been in some internal interviews, which I did not enjoy because the candidate was already selected beforehand. The interview process was conducted to adhere to guidelines and give the appearance of transparency.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
General Mills is not equitable with promotions - it is much more difficult to get promoted based on actual job performance, versus being in a minority group or being part of the "in" crowd. The corp culture respects diversity, but only in terms of race and gender - diversity of thought/style is not
