It was over 2 decades ago since I was interviewed as an external hire. I have been in some internal interviews, which I did not enjoy because the candidate was already selected beforehand. The interview process was conducted to adhere to guidelines and give the appearance of transparency.
General Mills is not equitable with promotions - it is much more difficult to get promoted based on actual job performance, versus being in a minority group or being part of the "in" crowd. The corp culture respects diversity, but only in terms of race and gender - diversity of thought/style is not
