
When we are able to use gms, we can accomplish anything. But gms is cherry picked, and is only used for disipline, or efficiency gains.
Marketing, engineering, and plant management need to get on the same page. Treat people how you want to be treated. Get rid of the US vs them additude. Let teams run, and have input in the team. We have had success before when we did this.
Practice what we preach to the public. One team, one goal shouldn't be a slogan. Management looks down on the union and don't think we should have the things that were negotiated. But have no problem wasting company money on trips with cars and gas. Take all kinds of vacation, and early outs, lates.
There is a culture at gm where the salary people thing they are better then the hourly. Where I work, most of the supervision has less then 3 years and don't take the time to know the people that work for them. They can even pay people correctly, nor do they care about peoples family.
