Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
As a Skilled Tradesman I have spent many years mastering my skill set. Including two college degrees. Yet management only pays me a few dollars more than the guys that didn't even have to finish High School. And also day in and day out all we see and hear is elimination or how to for the Trades.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Stop micromanaging. And if my supervisor cannot Grant a day to vacation without talking to labor or do anything without talking to Labor Relations why have them. You're going to hire somebody to manage let them manage. And most of us know our jobs and are good at it leave us alone and let us do them
