Overall it's a great company, where people are nice. My onboarding experience was not well planned. The training documentation was old or non-present. While collegiality is a core value, my colleagues are too busy/under immense work pressure to be able to assist.
It depends in which department you land in.
As much as I like the general spirit of the company, I'm thinking of moving from my department/company as there are no opportunities for the career development (non-technical position)
Havign to work with some inspiring colleagues
should meet and talk to people/do skip meetings
Bring LTI back and act on the feedback
Hardworking and knowledgeable bunch of people
People are super invested in GW
achieving goals and making things happen
I feel like a number/ no sense of the collegiality
workload and lack of appreciation for what we do (RMO)
Finishing tasks and thank yous for a well done jobs
I would like to see improvement at communication and overall presence
The Executive Office is not on the same wavelength as everyone else.
I love social events in the office - they bring people together!
Communication and openness The collegiality and rationality are evaporating from our culture.
My leadership team is invisible. I would like them to be more transparent.
We need to promote collegiality more and award more people with it. Each team/department should celebrate it quarterly/yearly.
I love seeing how other teams are working together, and there is a sense of collegiality and friendship
Better communication. Do not make changes to the role structure after the performance reviews/merit reviews have already been done. Very unfair!
the events that I can not attend due to the workload Summits/get-togethers were positive, but we rarely do it these days
We need to function as a team or a bee hive from the start. People are overworked and have too much workload to care about improving.
- Reduce the amount of the meetings/ some work can be done via emails - Invest in training your staff (especially all hires in ALL departments) - Update training docs/invest in a knowledge specialist for each department - Re-distribute the workload equally - Invest in new tools/software
First of all, leadership needs to be present. As a new hire, I was thrown into the abyss and had to pave my own plan. Please work on the knowledge base & process/workflow definitions >> provide adequate resources and training for all new hires. Work on spreading team's workload (overworked staff)
