I came to Guidewire through a company acquisition half a decade ago. It was scary at first struggling in an unknown company and learning my place. After I learned there was a place where my skills would be useful, the fear left. Then I assimilated and learned to enjoy the company culture and expand.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
Overall it has been a positive experience. The sudden termination of several team members without notice is disturbing and causes me to question the security of my position. The compensation increase this year was considerably lacking this year considering our dept. winning awards and growth.

Cooperative, professional, collegial, and knowledgeable.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The teams I am on work cooperatively towards achieving our goals.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They mostly keep us informed of what is coming and what to expect.
What makes you most happy at work?
Getting a quality project completed. Getting a project component back from reviews with few improvements.

Everyday has its own challenges. Some are repetitive, but most are new and keep my brain figuring new solutions.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They seem to keep abreast of world situations and how our company fits into the industry to keep both growing.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel that I am capped out for cost of living and promotion increases. It is not clear what I need to do to earn more in my current position.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
It is a broad and comprehensive package. Aside from the pay, the medical coverage is one of my main considerations. I like the motivation to stay with the company provided by periodic stock awards vesting over time.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We work well together. Everyone seems to pull their part of the load. I know I can get help from teammates if I need it and I am happy to help those who need it from me.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Although many of us function remote from each other, we do speak via Zoom or other calls daily, so there is a connection with faces on the other end. It is good to be connected with a diverse group that get along well together.
