Asked to all employees at H E B

  • Business casual

  • Neat clean pants suit or jeans and shirt

  • It's always safe to 'overdress' for an interview and dress for the role. I wouldn't wear jeans, even though the company has a casual dress policy. For a corporate role, business suit for both women and men. You can always laugh about wearing a coat and tie AFTER you are hired. You don't want to be the one missing out on a job because you went 'too casual.' That's my general rule.

  • Recently got a new department manager and they’re inexperienced, play favorites, and are passive aggressive. Three people reached out to HR with valid issues, and HR either cancelled the meetings/phone calls, or flat out did not reply back. Everyone suspects it’s because of the new manager being friends with someone high up within the companies ranks, which was verified. This new manager has abruptly created a hostile environment and is untouchable.
