I was taken off of orientation WEEKS early, out into night shift which also only comprises of new nurses. I have had two falls due to staffing issues as well as one of those was because we were DENIED a sitter for someone who was A&Ox 1 at best.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Depending on the crew, everyone is generally helpful.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The lack of attentiveness due to lack of staff.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Compensation for veteran nurses and nurses in general to keep moral high and keep in network and on unit instead of having high turnover.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I have not even been with this company for 4 months yet and the mission statement you have towards the "value" of your employees has been broken muliple times.
