Communicate the studio's goals and stick to them, or explain clearly why the previous goals were dropped in favor of new ones. Focus on leading the studio instead of micromanaging the current pet project.

-Relocation compensation reimbursement; however, the taxes taken out of it are brutal... expect to lose about a 3rd of the mentioned relocation compensation.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compared to other game studios my salary is shorted. But, I do have benefits and stable work which gives me a piece of mind.

What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone is super happy and helpful and as soon as I started working at Hi-rez I felt like I was a part of the family right away. Really good people here and they all seem to really love their job.

I am working with people from all over the world. Everyone is welcomed with open arms and it's a very positive, friendly environment.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
The current pet project runs with chaotic urgency, inefficiently churning on its design and burning its team out. The established projects settle into lethargic "more of the same" patterns. Find a way to balance these things: more urgency for established products, more patience with the new.

Everyone was super nice and respectful and it was a very positive vibe with passionate people, who seemed to love their work. They were open about what they wanted and they listen to what I had to say.

What makes you most happy at work?
Doing the work I love and being able to express myself through art. A lot of creative freedom and possibilities. Also working with fantastic colleagues that makes it even more fun to go to work.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
We keep making the same mistakes, releasing unstable and uncertain designs to the public before changing them drastically. We need to be able to make decisions as a team instead of shrugging and seeing how the CEO's latest whim plays out. Our customers do not trust us, for good reason!
