Its been ok but when I worked for Jackson hewitt years ago, it appeared to be more straightforward with how they ran things business wise. It's not like that now, but maybe it just depends on who owns the franchise

The interviewers were very relatable

When, I've spoken to them they've been kind to me.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Low level employees wise (from general manager on down), every one is dependable, knowledgeable, helpful and lighthearted.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Upper level management are nice. Lower level management are knowledgeable, helpful and willing to assist you when needed. Very dependable and not uptight, but are about business.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Tax preparers appear to be the scapegoat for higher level employees and the IRS. I would feel appreciated with more pay and more education, along with seniority or loyalty benefits (ie. 401k, health, guaranteed bonuses, vacation, etc.) after working for Jackson Hewitt for a 5yrs or more.
