What needs to change to make the company culture better?

when you treat your employees better, they're willing to work harder and do more for the company. when your employees feel under valued, they are not motivated to even show up to work. if you want a report card on management, look at wage absenteeism.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

factory leadership needs a culture change. they need to realize that they don't produce anything tangible, and that their pay comes from the work of the people they're treating like trash. their obligation is to the wage workforce. to provide parts, support staff, and tooling. not beat us down.
