Very hierarchical; may listen, but does not actually value the voices of the more novice members

Create a a constructive atmosphere not one where your worried about being fired daily.
Workload assignments. Extremely high workload for associates.
They could start by expending any sort of effort on training and developing their employees. They could also be an advocate for their employees, who typically receive no direction when assigned to tasks.
Company needs to be more adaptable to the changing research world and their own changing portfolio of trials

Honest pay that matches the industry average, not reverse psychology garbage about bonuses that magically morphs to fit what leadership deems is in their best interest.
The company pays well below market rates because they primarily hire recent graduates. Their rationale is that these individuals have less experience so should be paid less. However, some people receive robust training while in school. Pay them accordingly.
At least pay the market average salary. Stop low balling people
I believe we are paid far less than other CROs. Medpace claims they make up the difference with the variable compensation program but this doesn't kick in for oncology trials until you've been there for two years. This is unfair.

Transparent, helpful, understanding, kind, informative
Always available to help me out
Trust your employees to actually do their job. This is a professional enterprise, not high school.

Treat people like humans. Stop back biting

interview was super easy and now I know why
Improve timely communication. Inform applicants of their status promptly and don't make them contact the company multiple times about interviews or hiring decisions.
Cater the interview to the level of prior experience - having to do a presentation on the value of a CRA may be considered ok for recent college-grads, but I find it overall demeaning and it is certainly demeaning to those who have been working in the field of clinical research for years already.

friendly coworkers and good training

Learning new responsabilities, great relationship with coworkers
Customers see how managers and leadership place unearned blame on employees when it should be placed on the company's backwards work practices. Take accountability for your failings.
