Nordstrom Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

Interview fine. My employment abused by employees. Male employee use to tell me to quit and injured me by intentionally dropping boxes on me- houston galleria

Review from Operations Dept

everything was explained very well

The video interview, follow up from HR

the interviewer was inviting by being approachable

Seemed fair to me I guess

The questions were straight foward .

People at a general level are usually compassionate

Review from Sales Dept

The Managers were very laid back, they were very relaxed and warm.

They made me feel that they wanted me to work for them

My interview process was professional, informative, detailed and most of all curtious.

Review from Operations Dept

Interviews were relevant to the position.

Review from Engineering Dept

Promotions are often a tap on the shoulder

My manager disnt make me feel nervous; more like a conversation

Informing the importance of the role

How efficient the online interview was

Review from Product Dept

It was with a very kind and patient manager who was great at communicating with me and made me feel safe.

I liked that they wanted me to pick out and outfit , they cared about how I styled clothes and my confidence in doing so.

How the manager gave me a scenario of a person and what would this person need for a trip or how would I interact with a customer

Review from Sales Dept

how professional an attentive they were

Review from Sales Dept

Fill out paperwork online is really easy

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

More transparency and clarity from the start. Especially on the commission structure and pay.

The interview process was long and drawn out. I am in a technical role, and only 1 of the 7 (yes, seven) interviews was technical. Because of this, I feel the company hires people they like more than people who are truly qualified.

They lied to me about hours and accommodations for my disability.

They lied to me about hours and accommodations for disability.

acctually asking questions that apply to the position offered

They don't even pick up the phone consistently.

Review from Customer Support Dept

interview process was okay. Common questions

Review from Sales Dept

Call with feedback might be the right thing to do.

To be more direct when it come to interview answer.

Reduce the number of sessions in the interview, have clear focus on each interview loop, hire for the Nordstrom bar not team bar.

Review from Engineering Dept

The interviews use to go through HR, now unfortunately it's meeting with the candidate and listening to them talk before you decide if they are a good fit or not. Since that change we've hired lazy people or people there just because they spoke well during the interview.

Review from Operations Dept

Nothing very easy process to go through
