My department's leadership is diverse, has an open door policy, are knowledgeable, and always willing to help and listen.

They're always flexible and able to help out when needed. They have good vibes and bring lightness and humor to the job.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
My role is generally pretty much the same thing day to day and that can start to feel tedious, but I understood that when entering the role. I would love to be given more responsibilities, which would help me feel more invested in the company.
