I like the transparency. I like hearing from Shawn and Mike and Joe about their different areas. I liked how in our town hall, Kurt connected the dots about how the new business opportunities are impacting the business as a whole.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
I am very happy with all of it. Pay, bonus, stock, benefits, time off. I am not what else they could add but the People Teams keeps surprising us with more goodness.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Colleagues who are at my same level, who have left Sabre and moved to new companies are now making $20k - $30k more than I am. Objectively, I know our benefits slightly outweigh theirs but would appreciate if our raises were larger than 1.5%.

My last promotion pay increase was at the bottom end of the scale (5.5%), my last raise was the lowest it's been since I started 19 years ago, and I consistently perform very highly. Promotions take years and my pay is comparable to what others earn 2-or-more levels down at other companies.

Base pay is outdated and benefits are standard or below market. Colleagues leave for lower positions with less responsibility & receive a higher salary & overall compensation package. Delaying merit, promotions, and having to prove dependents for insurance isn't very employee friendly.

I don't feel unvalued, with these economic times, inflation is killing us. If you are with the same company for a long period of time, you miss out on the industry salary bumps that accommodate inflation.

Pay has not kept up with inflation and now that I have to come back into the office, that has added more cost. Personally, my family is down to 1 car now (daughter went off to college) and we can't afford to purchase another.

My immediate circle of co-workers are fantastic. When interfacing with other teams, we are not always seen as thought partners and are occasionally disregarded.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I work really hard on my projects, feel proud of what we're accomplishing, and then my project gets shelved or defunded. In 7 years, I've only launched one or two products which weren't live for very long. It makes me feel like my work doesn't contribute to the goals of the company.

I want to be seen as a trusted thought parter, integrated with my product team. Because I create designs and mockups, teams often believe they know better than I do and just tell me what to do rather than trusting my research and expertise.

We are short staffed (like everyone) & job complexity makes it infeasible to borrow labor. Also, we do need to move faster, but this focus on haste is starting to cause sloppy work/decisions that are likely to create more work/churn downline. 300 char isn't enough space to unpack this question.
