GETTING STARTED WITH INDY Wireless
FIRST TIME PAIRING
Because true wireless audio is still pretty new, Indy Wireless may be your first experience with this technology.But pairing Indy Wireless to your device for the first time is actually really simple. You just have to follow three easy steps:
Remove your Indy Wireless earbuds from the package
Place them in the charging case, and make sure the LEDs turn red, then close the case.
Now remove your earbuds from the case.
This process will automatically turn Indy Wireless on and put it into pairing mode. You can then select Indy Wireless from your device’s list of Bluetooth devices.
TROUBLESHOOTING
When people have trouble with true wireless audio, it’s usually related to Bluetooth pairing. If you can’t get Indy Wireless to pair to your phone or your earbuds are having trouble connecting to one another, here’s how you reset Indy Wireless to resolve pairing issues.
Place your Indy Wireless earbuds in the charging case.
Remove Indy Wireless from your device’s paired list.
Turn off Bluetooth mode on your device (mobile or computer)
Power on only your right Indy Wireless earbud by removing it from the case. It will be in a non-connected state at this point.
Tap the center of the earbud 4x. This will automatically power off the earbud and reset it. You will know this was successful when the light on the earbud turns red. If the light does not turn red please repeat step 5 until the light turns red. Place the right earbud back in the case.
Now repeat those same steps only with the left earbud. (steps 4 and 5)
Next, remove both earbuds from the case to have them automatically power on and begin pairing to one another.
You’ll hear one beep indicating the buds have paired together, and then a voice prompt that will notify you that Indy Wireless is now “Pairing”, meaning it’s searching for your device.
At this point, turn your device’s Bluetooth mode back on and re-pair to Indy Wireless.
SINGLE BUD USE
Sometimes you want to be able to hear your music, but still hear what’s going on around you. When you want to do that, you can use just one earbud. We call this Mono Mode.Only the right Indy Wireless earbud can be used in Mono Mode, because the right bud is the Primary bud.
To properly use Mono Mode, remove Indy Wireless from the charging case and make sure both earbuds are connected to your device. Now, simply place the LEFT bud back into the case. The RIGHT bud will remain paired and function for both phone calls and music.
You will maintain all RIGHT Indy Wireless earbud functionality, but remember, when in Mono Mode, you will lose the LEFT earbud functionality such as turning Volume down, and tracking backward.
If you want to go back to using both earbuds, put the right earbud back in the case, close the lid, and then remove both the left and right earbud together. You’ll hear a single Beep to indicate that both earbuds are paired and connected to your phone. All media functionality has now been restored.
To use Mono Mode again in the future, simply remove just the right earbud from the case at anytime.

USING CRUSHER ANC
GETTING STARTED
Download the Skullcandy App from the App Store or Google Play.
Pair your headphones. The app will guide you through turning on and pairing your headphones for the first time.
If you don’t have the Skullcandy App, or can’t download it, you can pair your headphones manually, as well. To pair for the first time without using the Skullcandy app, make sure the headphones are off. If they happen to be on, you can turn them off by pressing the power button on the left earcup for four seconds.
If you’ve never turned your headphones on, or once you’re sure they’re off, they’re ready to pair. Just press the power button for five seconds to turn them on and put them in pairing mode.
The LED lights will flash red and blue and a voice will confirm pairing.
Next, open the settings on your device. Make sure your Bluetooth is turned on. When Crusher ANC appears in your Bluetooth device list, select it and you’re done.
The bottom LED light will flash blue and a voice will say, “Pairing successful. Connected.”
TROUBLESHOOTING
PAIRING ISSUES?
Issue: You’re having trouble pairing your Crusher ANC with your mobile device, or your Crusher ANC are malfunctioning in any other way.
Solution: A full reset may help. Here’s the simple way to do it.
Hold both the upper and lower buttons on the right earcup for ten seconds and watch the colored LED’s. The top and bottom ones will turn yellow for three seconds.
Remove Crusher ANC from your paired devices list.
Pair it again with any Bluetooth enabled device.
If you have recently purchased the iPhone 11 or 11 Pro running iOS 13.0 there is a known issue with Bluetooth connectivity; Skullcandy and Apple suggest updating to iOS 13.1.
CONTROLS
RIGHT EARCUP:
Media controls are located on the right earcup
To play or pause, quickly press the middle button.
To take a call, press the middle button for one second.
To hang up, push the button again.
To reject a call, press it for two seconds.
To activate your device’s assistant, press the middle button twice.
To increase the volume, quickly press the top button.
To decrease the volume, quickly press the lower button.
To skip forward through tracks, press the top button for three seconds.
To skip backward, press the lower button for three seconds.
Built-in Tile Tracker
To help you keep track of your Crusher ANC, we’ve added built-in Tile Bluetooth tracking. To use the Tile tracker, follow the below instructions:
Download the free Tile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to your phone or other device.
Open the Tile app, tap the plus button on the screen, then tap ‘Skullcandy’ and follow the on-screen instructions to activate Crusher ANC.
Now, if you ever misplace your headphones, the Tile app will show you exactly where to look. To activate the Tile tracker, just press and hold both the power button on the left earcup and the middle button on the right earcup for one second.
Troubleshooting: If your headphones ever don’t show up in the Tile app, make sure the battery has at least a 10 percent charge.
LEFT EARCUP
POWER ON
Press the power button for 3 seconds. A voice prompt will say “Power On,” and the LED lights will turn blue.
SUBSEQUENT PAIRINGS
If you’ve already paired your headphones, they’ll automatically connect and the bottom LED will blink blue.
If the bottom LED blinks red, that means they’re disconnected.
POWER OFF
Press and hold the button for 4 seconds. A voice prompt will say “Power Off,” and the LED’s will go dark.
ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLATION
The Active Noise Cancellation on Crusher ANC will automatically be working when you turn the headphones on. To turn it off and on, push the Power button twice quickly.
When you activate Noise Cancellation, the top LED will turn purple and a voice will confirm: “Noise Cancellation On.”
When you turn Noise Cancellation OFF, the top LED will go dark and the voice will confirm: “Noise Cancellation Off.”
AMBIENT MODE
Crusher ANC also has an Ambient Mode which allows you to hear your surroundings better than you can with the noise cancellation off.
To activate Ambient Mode, touch the outside of the left earcup for three seconds. The top LED will blink purple and the voice will confirm: “Ambient Mode On.”
To turn off Ambient Mode, and return to Active Noise Cancellation, touch it again for another three seconds. The top LED will stop blinking and the voice will confirm: “Noise Cancellation On.”
To ensure you don’t unintentionally activate Ambient Mode, it helps to handle your headphones by the armatures, or the sides here.
ADJUSTABLE SENSORY BASS
To adjust the Sensory Bass on Crusher ANC, use the slider control on the left earcup. Slide it down for less bass, or up for bass you can feel.
BATTERY AND CHARGING
To check the status of your Crusher ANC battery, quickly press the power button on the left earcup.
The green LED’s will show you how much life you still have. Four lights means you have a full charge. Each light represents 25 percent.
Crusher ANC’s battery gives you up to 24 hours of playtime on a single charge.
To recharge, just plug the USB-C cable into this port here. And the Rapid Charge feature gives you four hours of playtime after just ten minutes of charging.
PERSONAL SOUND PROFILES
To create a profile, you’ll need to take an audio test. When you take the audio test, you’ll want to be in a quiet room, as noise cancellation is disabled during the test.
Everyone who is going to be using the headphones should create their own profile.
Setup Instructions:
After you’ve paired your Crusher ANC with your phone in your device’s Bluetooth settings, open the Skullcandy app.
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Crusher ANC to the app.
Once you’re connected to the app, tap the Personal Sound icon in the bottom right of the home screen:
Then, click the + in the top left corner:
Progress through the getting started screens.
Enter the name of the Personal Sound profile that you’re about to create.
Take the audio test; when you hear a tone, tap ‘Yes’, if you don’t hear it, tap ‘No’.
Once you finish your test, a graph of your profile will be displayed.
Click ‘Next’ to get to the sound profile landing page. From here you can toggle your profile on/off, and if you have multiple profiles you can toggle between them.
The sound profile that you have toggled ‘On’ will be on no matter which device you connect to.
If you connect to another phone that has the Skullcandy app, all of your sound profiles will be accessible from that phone as well.

CAN I PAIR THE CRUSHER ANC WITH MULTIPLE DEVICES AT ONCE?
Yes. You can pair up to 2 devices at the same time, but only one device can stream at a time.
WHAT IS THE BLUETOOTH RANGE OF THE CRUSHER ANC?
Crusher ANC has one of the best Bluetooth ranges of any of our products. You should be able to listen up to 30 meters (or about 100 feet) away from your paired device, though your connection experience may vary based on your environment.
CAN I CONNECT CRUSHER ANC TO A COMPUTER?
Sure, or a phone, tablet, MP3 player, or anything else with either Bluetooth or a 3.5mm audio jack.
BATTERY & CHARGE
HOW LONG WILL THE BATTERY STAY CHARGED?
Crusher ANC has up to 24 hours of battery life with Crusher, ANC and Bluetooth activated. If you want to conserve battery life, plug in for a wired ANC experience, which should last up to 40 hours. If you don’t ever use your headphones, they should stay charged for roughly 3 years! But we recommend you use them! If Tile has been activated, the battery will run out a little quicker, roughly 3 to 4 months with no use.
WILL CRUSHER ANC WORK IF THE BATTERY IS DEAD?
If your battery is dead, plug in your provided 3.5mm auxillary cord and you can have a regular audio experience (without Crusher, Bluetooth or ANC)
DOES MY BATTERY LAST LONGER WITH ANC OFF?
Yes. It will also last longer if you use the product in wired mode and/or at lower volume levels.
HOW CAN I SEE HOW MUCH BATTERY LIFE I HAVE LEFT?
Use the fuel gauge! Press the power button (even if the product is off) and you will see your battery level on the 4 LEDs. 100\% = 4 Green LEDs, 75\% = 3 Green LEDS, 50\% = 2 Amber, 25\% = 1 Amber, <5\% = 1 Red.
WHAT IS THE TOTAL CHARGING TIME FOR CRUSHER ANC?
Crusher ANC offers our Rapid Charge technology which means that with just 10 minutes of charging, you will get 3 hours of play time. But Rapid Charge does not affect the total time required to fully charge the headphone, which is approximately 2.5 hours total.
CAN I CHARGE THE CRUSHER ANC WITH MY PC/LAPTOP?
Yes. Any USB output will work, however for the best performance we recommend you use a 5W (5V, 1A) USB output or higher.

I WORK IN VERY LOUD PLACES. WILL THESE WORK ANYWAY?
The inherent passive isolation with our over-ear design works wonders for noisy environments and the addition of our custom-tuned, Digital Hybrid ANC system takes it to a whole new level. However, ANC headphones should not be a substitute for proper hearing protection in certain environments.

WHEN ON A CALL, DO I NEED A MIC ON A CORD OR IS THERE A MIC ON THE EARCUPS?
The mic on the earcups will function in Bluetooth mode, and the mic on the included 3.5 mm auxiliary cable will function for wired use. However, for the best phone call performance, please use Bluetooth mode as we have added lots of cool digital signal processing to make that experience even better than ever!
CAN I USE THESE FOR SPORTS OR WORKING OUT?
Sure, but we don’t recommend it because Crusher ANC does not have any of the features that Skullcandy’s active-specific products have, like sweat or water resistance.

Issue: The biggest challenge with true wireless earbuds is maintaining a paired status between both independent buds. There are times when the user will intentionally or unintentionally modify the connected states of the SESH Wireless buds, this can create a pairing challenge as both the LEFT and RIGHT SESH Wireless buds because they would then be in different pairing and search modes when powered on. This is an easy fix!
Solution:
Turn the Bluetooth on your (mobile or computer) device OFF
To ensure ease of re-pairing, please unpair or forget your SESH Wireless in your paired Bluetooth device list
Power on ONLY your LEFT SESH Wireless bud by simply removing it from the case. It will be in a NON_CONNECTED or non-paired state due to Bluetooth being off on your device. Leave the other RIGHT bud is in the case
Press the button 6 times (see below diagram). The LED will flash RED and this will automatically rest and power off the ear bud. Place the LEFT earbud back in the case
Repeat steps 3-4 with ONLY the RIGHT SESH Wireless bud
Next, pull the SESH Wireless buds from the case to have them automatically power on and start the process of paring to one another
You will hear one beep indicating the buds have paired together, the LED on the LEFT bud will flash RED and BLUE indicating it has entered into pairing mode
At this time, turn your device’s Bluetooth back on and re-pair it to your SESH Wireless buds. You will hear a voice prompt that will notify you that it is now “Connected”
BUDS NOT CHARGING IN CASE/LID NOT CLOSING PROPERLY?
Issue: Not seeing the RED LED indicator on both or either earbud when you’ve placed your SESH Wireless back in the case
Solution:
Wait momentarily as the buds connect, occasionally it takes a few seconds to begin charging
Check to see if any debris is blocking the charging pins in the case, or on the bud
Check to see if the removable in-ear gels are placed correctly on the acoustic port, this could be keeping the buds from sitting correctly in the case
This same issue could also be interfering with your case lid when closing, if you’re having a hard time closing the lid correctly, this is an indicator that buds are not set correctly or the gels are interfering.
SINGLE BUD USE (Mono Mode):
Issue: If you’re a user that would like to use the SESH Wireless with only one ear bud (Mono Mode), you may have some issues when working to repair both buds together (Stereo Mode). You may follow the following simple steps to ensure ease of use when pairing when switching between Mono and Stereo Modes.
Solution:
Please note - ONLY the LEFT SESH Wireless bud can be used in Mono Mode, this is your Master or Main Function bud.
For the optimal Mono functionality, first Power On and pair BOTH SESH Wireless buds to your device normally. This will ensure the seamless transition between Stereo and Mono modes
Once both SESH Wireless buds are paired together, simply place the RIGHT bud back into the case. The LEFT bud will remain paired and function with both phone calls and music. The transition between Stereo and Mono modes has now been simplified
You will maintain all LEFT SESH Wireless bud functionality, but remember you will now lose the RIGHT ear bud user interface functionality such as “Volume +/-“, and “Track <</>>” when in Mono Mode
You can now place the LEFT SESH Wireless bud back into the case at any time, and again remove only the LEFT bud to use again in Mono Mode. Please allow adequate pairing time, and you will hear the voice prompt “Connected” once the LEFT bud has repaired
If you would like to change back to Stereo Mode, simply remove the RIGHT SESH Wireless bud from the case at any time while paired in Mono Mode (or if BOTH buds are in the case simply remove together), and you will hear a single beep to indicate that you have automatically entered back into Stereo Mode. All media functionality has now been restored
Please Note - If you’ve manually paired ONLY the LEFT Earbud to your device (before pairing both the LEFT and RIGHT buds together) and wish to change back to Stereo Mode, you will need to follow the reset instructions explained above and clear BOTH earbuds to enter back into the correct stereo paring mode.
ON BOARD CONTROLS
Sesh Wireless has a full suite of controls on each earbud to keep you connected without having to touch your phone.
To pause or play your music, press either bud once.
To turn up the volume, press the right bud twice.
To turn down the volume, press the left bud twice.
To skip a song forward, press and hold the right bud for 2 seconds.
To skip a song backward, press and hold the left bud for 2 seconds.
To take a call on Sesh Wireless, press either bud once. You can also end the call by pressing either bud once.
To reject a call, press and hold the right or left bud for 2 seconds.
To activate your device’s assistant, press the left or right bud 3 times.

How long will the battery stay charged?
Venue has up to 24 hours of battery life with both the ANC and BT activated. If you want to conserve battery life, plug in for a wired ANC experience, which should last up to 40 hours. If you don’t ever use your headphones, they should stay charged for roughly 3 years! But we recommend you use them...! If Tile has been activated, the battery will run out a little quicker, roughly 3 to 4 months with no use.
Will Venue work if the battery is dead?
If your battery is dead, plug in your provided 3.5mm AUX cord and you can have a regular audio experience (without Bluetooth or ANC)
Does my battery last longer with ANC off?
Yes. It will also last longer if you use the product in wired mode. It will also last longer at lower volume levels.
How can I see how much battery life I have left?
Use the fuel gauge! Press the power button (even if the product is off) and you will see your battery level on the 4 LEDs. 100\% = 4 white lights, 75\% = 3 white lights, 50\% = 2 white lights, 25\% = 1 white light, <5\% = 1 red light.
What is the total charging time for Venue?
Venue offers our Rapid Charge technology which means that with just 10 minutes of charging, you will get 5 hours of play time. But Rapid Charge does not affect the total time required to fully charge the headphone, which is approximately 2.5 hours total.
Can I charge the Venue with my PC/Laptop?
Yes. Any USB output will work, however for the best performance we recommend you use a 5W (5V, 1A) USB output or higher.

The mic on the earcups will function in both BT mode and wired mode, so you are covered no matter how you are connected. However for best phone call performance, please use BT mode as we have added lots of cool digital signal processing to make that experience even better than ever!
Can I use these for sports or working out?
Sure, but we don’t recommend it because Venue does not have any of the features that Skullcandy’s active-specific products have, like sweat or water resistance.

PAIRING ISSUES?
Issue: The biggest challenge with wireless earbuds is maintaining a paired status. Easy fix!
Solution:
If you have previously paired to your device, simply turn your Vert Wireless on and it will pair to the last known device.
If your Vert Wireless does not successfully pair to your device, turn the product off. From the off state, hold the power on button for 5 seconds until you see a blue LED and hear “pairing.”
Enter your device’s Bluetooth settings and choose Vert Wireless. The product should connect to your device.
If that is not successful, you will need to reset your Vert Wireless. With the product in the on state, hold the on/off button and turn and hold the dial clockwise simultaneously for 3 seconds until you hear two beeps.
Turn your Vert Wireless off and then back on and it will go into pairing mode. Select Vert Wireless in your Bluetooth settings.
If your earbuds do not pair after choosing them in your Bluetooth settings, choose to forget Vert Wireless in your device.
Turn your Vert Wireless off and back on. It will enter pairing mode. Choose Vert Wireless in new devices in your Bluetooth settings.

If your battery is dead, plug in your provided 3.5mm AUX cord and you can have a regularaudio experience (without Crusher orBT).

Yes. If you are listening at a full bass experience you will have a slightly shorter battery life.
How can I see how much battery life I have left?
Use the fuel gauge! Press the power button and you will see your battery level on the 5 LEDs. 100\% = 5 greenlights, 80\% = 4 green lights, 60\% = 3 green lights, 40\% = 2 yellow lights, 20\% = 1 red light.

TROUBLESHOOT PAIRING
Issue: The biggest challenge with wireless earbuds is maintaining a paired status. Easy fix!
Solution:
If you have previously paired to your device, simply turn your Method Active on and it will pair to the last known device.
If your Method Active does not successfully pair to your device, turn the product off. From the off state, hold the power on button for 5 seconds until you see a blue LED and hear “pairing.”
Enter your device’s Bluetooth settings and choose Method Active. The product should connect to your device.
If that is not successful, you will need to reset your Method Active. With the product in the On state, hold the Volume + and Volume buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until you hear two beeps.
Turn your Method Active off and then back on and it will go into pairing mode. Select Method Active in your Bluetooth settings.
If your earbuds do not pair after choosing them in your Bluetooth settings, choose to forget Method Active in your device.
Turn your Method Active off and back on. It will enter pairing mode. Choose Method Active in new devices in your Bluetooth settings.

Thank you for your recent Skullcandy Gaming purchase. Below please find some simple instructions on setting up your new PLYR 2.
Setup steps:
Make sure the Transmitter and headset are powered on.
Press and hold the power buttons on both the transmitter and headset for 2 seconds until the LEDs begin to flash white.
Once pairing is complete the power LEDs will stop flashing and turn solid white.
A solid amber light on the headset means the headset is either fully charged or is powered via USB
A rapid blinking amber light on the headset means the headset needs to be charged (less than 15\% remaining).
A solid blinking amber light on the headset means the headset is charging.
*** NOTE: If the headset shutting off randomly try using the charging cable as the power cable and see if that resolves the issue. Cable 1 and 2 are the same cable just different lengths. The shortest one (number 1) is the power cable. The longest one (number 2) is the charging cable for the headset. Cable 3 is the Xbox live chat cable (this cable is only needed for xbox). Cable 4 is the piggyback RCA cable.
PLYR 2 Setup on PC
This is the easiest setup of all. All you need to do is plug the short USB cable (cable 1) into the PWR port on the transmitter to any open USB port the computer. You will also need to get a 3.5mm auxiliary cable (sold separately and pictured below) and plug one end of that cable into the AUDIO port on the transmitter and the other end into the headphone jack of your computer.
Most computers will automatically detect it and allow you to use it. Some may need you to go into your sound settings and manually select it. To do so simply go to)

Note: ***The PLYR2 is mono only via USB (USB input is meant for Chat channel only). The proper PC set-up is to use a 3.5mm cable (not supplied) and plug it from the headphone jack to the Audio port on the TX, and to use USB for the chat channel. The quick start guide should reflect this as well.
PLYR 2 PS3 SETUP

The PLYR 2s come paired out of the box but in case you need assistance with re-pairing them then the instructions are below.

Setup instructions for PLYR 2 on the Playstation 3
If your PS3 is connected to the TV via an HDMI you will also need the standard AV cables that came with the console. Tip: the cable for the PS2 is the same cable and will also work.
The 2nd port is the hdmi port and the 4th port is where the standard AV cable plugs in.
If using HDMI simply plug in the red and white RCA cables that came with the console into the piggyback cable (cable 4) and let them hang and plug the other end of that cable into the port on the transmitter that says AUDIO. They do not need to be plugged into the TV but be sure the metal parts on the red and the white do not touch each other or other metal because it will cause static or a buzz/humm sound.
Then plug in the short USB cable (cable 1) into an open USB port on the console and into the port that says PWR on the transmitter.
You should now have everything hooked up properly and need to change some settings on the console to get the chat and audio to work.
PLYR 2 XBOX 360 SETUP

Setup Instructions for PLYR 2 for XBOX 360
If your Xbox is connected to your TV via HDMI for you will need what is called an HDMI optical audio adapter (THIS IS REQUIRED OR IT WILL NOT WORK).
The reason you need this adapter is because the cable that comes with the xbox 360 is too thick to fit both the HDMI and the standard AV cable at the same time (Playstation does not have this problem). Reference the pictures below for a better understanding.
If using standard AV cables or if you have the optical audio adapter you will plug the following red and white part of the piggyback cables (cable 4) in the picture into the red and white cables of the xbox or into the red and white ports on the optical audio adapter and the other end into the port on the wireless receiver called AUDIO. Then take the short USB cable (cable 1) and plug it into an open USB port on the xbox and the other end into the port of the wireless receiver called PWR. Picture of the wireless receiver (transmitter) is below.
Plug the xbox live chat cable (cable 3) into the controller and into the headset. This is not needed for PS3 or PC.
At this point everything should be connected. Now you will have to change some settings on the Xbox to get the headset and chat to work properly. Below are step by step instructions for that.
Xbox LIVE Settings
1. From the Xbox 360 Dashboard, navigate to Settings.on the far right using the right bumper (RB button) on the controller
2. Select "Preferences" from the menu that follows and press the green "A" button on the controller.
3. Once in the Preferences menu select "Voice" and press the green "A" button on the controller again.
4. On the "Voice" screen, make sure the "Play Through Headset" radial is selected for the Voice Output selection and that the volume is set to "10".
PLYR 2 FIRMWARE UPDATE
Firmware Update instructions:
1. Download the .zip archive file for Windowsand the .dmg file for Mac users below.
2. Extract the .zip archive/.dmg file to a folder on your computer (the .zip and .dmg contains two files, the firmware file and the updater .exe file)
3. Run the .exe file in the extracted folder
4. Follow the instruction prompts in the software

PLYR 2 Setup on Mac (Audio/Chat)
First you want to make sure your Wireless GMX Transmitter's USB Power cables is plugged into your computer, and the GMX Mixer. (USB mini Transmitter, and the Regular USB to the port on your computer.) .
If your headset is plugged in appropriately, the Skullcandy logo on the front of the transmitter GMX should light up "White" when powered, and you should be able to select the device for use
Make Sure the headset and the GMX transmitter are paired together. This is done by simultaneously pressing the Skullcandy Logo on the transmitter, and the power button on the PLYR headsets right ear cup. You hold both of them down for 5 seconds, and when paired the Skullcandy Logo should flash, and the light on the headset will turn "White". Once the headset is paired, you can move to the other steps
Next make sure that the computer is defaulting to the "Skullcandy GMX Stereo Transmitter" as the input and the output device for audio. This can be set up through "System Preferences" Tab in the "Apple Menu"
On the Playback tab click on Skullcandy GMX Stereo Transmitter and click on Set Default
You want to go to the "Sound" section of the "System Preference" console.
Next make sure that the input is defaulted to the "Skullcandy GMX Stereo Transmitter:, and you should see the option to select it as the default device in this screen. If you cannot see "Skullcandy GMX Stereo Transmitter" as an option, chekc your USB cable to make sure it is properly connected.

We're stoked about your recent Skullcandy Gaming purchase, and we're here to make sure you get the best possible audio experience with your product. Below you will find instructions on setting up your new PLYR 1 with a PC.
Connection Setup
Plug your optical cable into the optical in port on the PLYR1 headset stand
Plug your USB to USB mini cable into the mini USB port on the back of the headset stand
Plug your USB to USB mini cable into a USB port located on the back of you PC (location may vary) or a USB port on your laptop
Plug your optical cable into your Optical out port located on the back of your PC (location may vary) or the optical port on your laptop
**Note: You must have a sound card that supports Dolby Digital Output, and an available optical port. If you do not have one, you can purchase a usb device, or use the headset with stereo sound**
Voice Input and Audio Playback Settings
Navigate to your PC's control panel (start > control panel)
Click on Hardware and sound then sound
Select the Recording tab
Select Skullcandy GMX Dolby Transmitter
Click the "Set Default" button at the bottom of the window
Click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the window
Select the Playback tab
Select "SPDIF Output" (example of another Digital Playback device would be something like the Realtek HD Audio Manager. If you have an audio manager it will need to be selected at default Playback device and skullcandy transmitter as default Recording device see picture below)
Click the "Set Default" button at the bottom of the window
Click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the window
Click the "OK" button and you're all set!
PLYR 1 PS3 SETUP
Setup steps:
You will not need your AV cables for the PLYR 1 so if you don’t have them, no worries! The PS3 whether slim or first generation will have an optical port known as S/PDIF.
A quick reminder: to get your PLYR1 running with Dolby Digital your system MUST be updated to software update 3.70 or later.
Plug your short USB to USB Mini cable into the mini USB port on the back of your PLYR1 transmitter stand
Plug your optical cable into the optical-in port on the back of your PLYR1 transmitter stand
Grab your PS3 and plug the other end of your optical cable into the back of the PS3
Plug the USB to USB Mini cable into the USB port located on the front of the PS3
Configuring Audio Settings
Settings Tab(PS3 owners will navigate to this tab using their left stick or left button on D pad)
Sound Settings (pictured below)
Audio Output Settings > Select Optical Digital (see below) then use the left analog (or D pad) to navigate to the setup for the Optical Digital
Note: Make sure that DTS 5.1 Ch is NOT selected, you will see 1 or 2 other settings checked off that cannot be unchecked, this is fine just as long as DTS 5.1 is NOT selected. (See this pictured below) once you have your settings set to Dolby Digital 5.1 Ch and NOT DTS 5.1 you should continue to scroll right to save your new settings.
Configuring Chat Settings
Navigate to the settings tab (You will navigate to this tab using your left analog or left button on D pad)
Navigate to the accessory Settings
Navigate to the Audio Device Settings
Select “Skullcandy GMX Dolby Transmitter” for both input and output.
PLYR 1 XBOX 360 SETUP
Setup steps:
If your Xbox 360 is plugged into your TV via an HDMI cable you will need what is called an HDMI optical audio adapter (THIS IS REQUIRED OR IT WILL NOT WORK).
Before we get too far into settings, let’s talk about how your console is hooked up. There are slight variations between Xbox 360 console releases that will change your set up slightly. The older First Gen and Arcade versions have the S/PDIF port on the AV cables. The Xbox 360 Elite came with an Optical Audio Adapter, if you no longer have that adapter you will need to purchase one in order to experience the Dolby Digital Sound. The Xbox 360 Slim or “S” has the S/PDIF port right on the back of the console near where the AV cables plug in.
Plug your optical cable into the optical in port on the PLYR1 headset stand
Plug your USB to USB mini cable into the mini USB port on the back of the headset stand
Plug the other end of your optical cable into the optical out port on the back of you Xbox 360 (this may require an adapter)
Plug your USB to USB mini cable into the USB port on the back of the Xbox 360
Plug the straight end of your chat cable into the bottom of your PLYR1 headset
Plug the right angle end of your chat cable and plug it into the bottom of your Xbox 360 controller
Configuring Xbox LIVE settings
From the Xbox 360 Dashboard, navigate to Settings.on the far right using the right bumper (RB button) on the controller
Select "Preferences" from the menu that follows and press the green "A" button on the controller. (see picture below)
Once in the Preferences menu select "Voice" and press the green "A" button on the controller again. (see picture below)
On the "Voice" screen, make sure the "Play Through Headset" radial is selected for the Voice Output selection and that the volume is set to "10". (see pic below) *Note, if you have a Kinect you will need to mute it
Configuring Dolby Digital settings
From the Settings menu on the dashboard choose “System” this time instead of Preferences.
Console Settings > Audio
Select Digital Output
From there you can turn on Dolby Digital 5.1 etc.
PLYR 1 FIRMWARE UPDATE
Firmware Update instructions:
1. Download the .zip archive file for Windowsand the .dmg file for Mac users below.
2. Extract the .zip archive/.dmg file to a folder on your computer (the .zip and .dmg contains two files, the firmware file and the updater .exe file)
3. Run the .exe file in the extracted folder
4. Follow the instruction prompts in the software

3. Pair the headset and transmitter
PLYR 1 PS4 SETUP
Connection Setup
Note: Before doing any troubleshooting please make sure you are connected to the internet either wirelessly or with ethernet. There is a firmware update known as 1.5 released with the console launch that must be downloaded and installed in order for voice communication to function properly.
For a FULL Sony PS4 console setup:
To connect the PLYR 1 to the PS4: http://manuals.playstation.net/document/
1. Connect the Optical cable to the PLYR 1 GMX through the “Opt In” port on the back of the transmitter, and the “Digital Out” (Optical Port) on the back of the PS4.
2. Connect the usb power cable to either of the usb ports on the front of the console.
3. Power on both the headset and GMX
PLYR 1 Game Audio PS4:
When a new headset with mic is plugged in it should recognize device. (if customer states the PLYR 1 is not being recognized ask if the PS4 saw the mic when they started the console up. If so, and customer is still unable to “select” headset, see chat setup issue below.
1. Select User and hit “X” to Enter. Customer should now be looking at the “home screen” have them run a quick test to make sure their mic is being picked up, have them say “Playstation” and wait for Mic controls to show at the bottom of the screen. It will look like this:

To adjust Audio Settings from the Settings (toolbox icon from home screen) tab:

[Audio Output Settings] >
[Primary Output Port] >
Select Dolby 5.1 make sure DTS is not selected, as noted below you can damage your headset if this is selected.
PLYR 1 Chat Setup PS4:
The current Sony firmware update 1.5 doesn’t seem to be allowing for incoming chat to be heard in the headset without attaching a 3.5mm cable to the PS4 controller and then plugging that 3.5mm cable into the “AUX” port on the rear of the transmitter. The PLYR 1 does not come with a 3.5mm cable, but this can be used as a work around until Sony fixes the 1.5 update. The customer may also want to purchase a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter to run the provided 2.5mm XBL cable to the controller. I have not tested this theory, and cannot guarantee compatibility with any 3rd party 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter. Once connected with either of the above suggestions the customer can set up chat!
To adjust “Device” (chat) Settings from the Settings (toolbox icon from home screen) tab:
1. [Audio Devices] >
2. [Headset and Headphones]>
3. Adjust Headset Volume>
Hit “X” to enter and chat should be all set up!
***IMPORTANT***
If you did not Choose “all audio” from the Sound and Screen > Audio Output > Output to Headphones and left it as “Chat Audio Only” please change this now. You can either go back to the Settings Menu and navigate from there, OR a quicker way to accomplish this is to HOLD DOWN the “home” button (this is the button on the controller with the PS logo on it).
From the menu, you need to select “Adjust Devices” and then Set Volume and change your Output to Headphones to “All Audio” in order to hear chat from your “party” inside the headset.
You should now be able to:
1. Hear game and console sounds through the headset.
2. Control the Playstation with voice commands.
3. Chat in party.
4. Hear others chatting in party.
Hopefully Sony will soon develop an additional firmware update that will allow all headsets full use without needing a 3.5mm AUX cable, but in the mean time please know that a 3.5mm AUX cable is relatively easy to find around the home and very inexpensive to purchase.

Setup steps:
Please ensure the cable to the headset is plugged in all the way. Be sure to plug the cord into the headset until it clicks, it may take slight force to ensure the jack is properly seated. We have it designed to be such a tight fit for those intense gaming sessions to ensure it does not come unplugged at the most inopportune time. If you are only hearing sound out of one side, it sounds “muffled”, or the mic does not work, simply try unplugging the cord from the headset and plugging it back in until it clicks in place
If your PS3 is connected to the TV via an HDMI you will also need the standard AV cables that came with the console.
If using HDMI simply plug in the red and white RCA cables that came with the console into the piggyback cables on the mixer cable and leave them hang. They do not need to be plugged into the TV but be sure the metal parts on the red and the white do not touch each other or other metal because it will cause static or a buzz/humm sound.
Game Audio Setup:
Navigate to settings in the PS3 XMB dashboard
Select Sound Settings
Select Audio Multi Output and set to "on"
Game Chat Setup:
Navigate to settings in the PS3 XMB dashboard
Select Accessory Settings
Select in Audio Device Settings
Select "Skullcandy SLYR" for both input device and output device
SLYR XBOX 360 SETUP
Setup steps:

Plug the male end of your GMX mixer red and white connectors into your TV if it is providing sound.
Plug the right angle of the SLYR chat cable into your Xbox 360 controller.
Plug the straight end of the SLYR chat cable into the chat port of your GMX mixer.
Plug your 3.5mm audio into the bottom of your SLYR headset; be sure to push hard enough to hear or feel a click to signal that the cable has been fully seated.
Plug the other end of your 3.5mm audio cable into the headset port of your GMX mixer.
Xbox Live Settings
From the Xbox 360 Dashboard, navigate to Settings.
Select "Preferences" from the menu that follows and press the green "A" button on the controller.
Once in the Preferences menu select "Voice" and press the green "A" button on the controller again.
On the "Voice" screen, make sure the "Play Through Headset" radial is selected for the Voice Output selection and that the volume is set to "10".
