Staples Team Employee Reviews

What are some of the best things about your team?

Most people work hard, provide great customer service and want to do the right thing. For the long-tenured employees it's like a family

We all feel the same.

For the most part and hard working group

great team work and knowledge

I loved working with the majority of our team. Some of them really wanted to make a difference in their jobs and that of customer experiences. I could always count on the vast majority of them if I asked them for help.

Theyre chill and hate their job too

I have some hard worker that work along side me, however with lack of management direction or proper scheduling we all are overworked and it puts pressure on us all

We are friends and co workers

Needs improvement, stop the do as I say not as I do mentality

Most of the time they were friendly and inviting.

Great teamwork and enthusiasm everyday

Review from Product Dept

Doing what it takes to help customers find what they are looking for

cooperative, supportive and helpful team.

Review from Operations Dept

Human interaction, the kind of thing Staples tries to discourage.

Coworkers are usually in the same age bracket depending on area making it fun to get along with them, but management will usually break up any conversations that do not directly pertain to work.

They are friendly, down to earth, and not out of touch with reality unlike corporate. I don’t think you guys understand that no one can afford to stay alive with such terrible pay. The buying power gen z has is bad. The wealth distribution is not equal or fair and the worst in histor

Great people to work with not for

I can work with them efficiently and enjoy talking with them as they are all older than me so I learn of different stories of either their life or things that happened in the store. It makes me feel closer to them and allows us to be more comfortable in the store

Supportive and inclusive team to work with .very accommodative of work loads

Talking to them about anything other than the job

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Co-workers need to be held accountable more for their work. Some do the bare minimum and continue to keep their job without discipline.

Too many under qualified managers

Take initiatve and make meaningful contributions to the workforce to help alliviate the stress and burdensome tasks of the job.

Come prepared to give 100% every day

Company moral sometimes felt low because no one genuinely enjoyed their jobs.

The coworkers need to learn how to do their jobs properly this would be learned by having the supervisors and the general managers understanding and enforcing safety and performance related items.

Need to understand that we all work for the same company as one team. Everyone here works against each other from different departments. It's all about trying to place blame from you to some other area.

To able to improve better need to teach the coworkers on unethic conduct to stop unwelcome behaviors to stop harassing to stop giving you options either get fired or quit because of the unwelcome behaviors that they give to employee for their personal reasons

toxic and cutthroat teams fostered

make things happen in real world, not on paper

Do their jobs. In Old Saybrook, CT I was there for 2 1/2 years in the copy center. In that time there was never even 1 store meeting. Pay more so they can get better quality workers.

They need training. They need to learn manners.

Communication, teamwork, a functional management team

Communicate, help each other out, work as a team.

Get more invested in what happens, voice opinions

socialize and be curious about other people

Push back on the leaders who are out of touch.

the general manager of my store needs to supervise the sales manager more. the sales manager is trying to take advantage of all the young female workers

Review from Sales Dept
