I've grown so much in my time at this company. Coworkers, and mostly the leadership, are top of class. Based in one of our European offices, it can be a real challenge to make your mark. Timezones are also something to accept and make work for you, so you're not always on the clock.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are incredibly transparent—whether it's business strategy or genuinely asking employees about their struggles working from home. This radiates to the managers
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The environment is one that is very supportive of professional development. Career growth and mentorship is celebrated. We have access to self-improvement courses and e-learning platforms and use of them is very much encouraged. There's also a willingness to experiment with new ways of doing things.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Coworkers are sometimes stuck in the monotony of tasks and achieving objectives that they fail to invest in relationship building. More people need to realize and embrace that not talking about work can be one of the most effective levers for professional growth and company success.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
We receive a wellness benefit, whichcovers the cost of my monthly gym membership. Also, we are reimbursed/covered for our health insurance, which in the Netherlands is very rare from an employer! During the pandemic, we've also received a work-from-home stipend to set up our home office.
What makes you most happy at work?
I'm eager to do my best in my role. I was part of the company that was acquired a few years ago. While transitions are hard, I voiced my interest in moving to a team that better suited my skillset. The head of the team saw my potential and I've been on that team ever since. I'm incredibly grateful.
