I'm newer to symplr, but I feel like there is a level of transparency that I haven't experienced previously
I appreciate that they recognize change is needed. I appreciate that they are trying to keep us in the know.
Transparency, engaged, supports all roles within the organization
Transparency and availability for discussion.
Every indication is they are transparent and honest about company status, roadmap, and challenges
Communication, allowing SMEs to provide input on projects they are working on, designing training programs to allow new employees to be better prepared for their role, be more transparent about the metrics utilized in employee reviews.
Need to build a better culture. When your manager tells the team that you are salaried and you need to work more than 40 hours a week it does not make you feel appreciated
Pay your employees the value they've earned, both for the work they perform and the revenue they generate. Replace the leadership team with people who actually want to make the software better instead of sycophants only here to legally syphon capital and value to the shareholder.
Appreciating the individual contributor and their thoughts
Listening to people who disagree or have a different viewpoint.
The discretionary PTO is the best part
Unlimited paid time off pending manager approval
I trust symplr has provided resources for me regardless of life events that may be planned or unexpected. I believe I have a safety net in place no matter what.
Permissive PTO is the one benefit that keeps me from leaving
Remote flexible working environment, mental health/wellness benefits
The general tone here makes it seem like we are all replaceable resources, and not truly valued as people. We were once told that high performers would receive higher pay increases only to have that change right before the review cycle began. The new metrics made previous "rockstars" just average.
As a Smart Square acquisitioned employee, I see that my skills compared to market are above average, yet I'm paid below market for my skills. Why should I continue to push for results when it's not rewarded?
My role should be compensated similar to other roles with the same responsibilities. Also, my role should should be bonus eligible.
Leadership does not seem to care. It seems like everything is about the bottom dollar. Lack of pay raises over the past few years and cost of living continuing to climb it becomes difficult. Especially when your boss considers you a rockstar but that does not factor into your raise.
Raw compensation has been stagnant for years. 1.3% salary YoY isn't a valid pay adjustment, or a perk. Workers are not getting any growth, yet we somehow find budget to hire yet another "Vice President" for $200,000 so they can go to some other company to another pay bump for their "contribution".
Everybody is willing to help each other, there is a vast amount of knowledge on multiple areas within my team, we all appreciate hearing new perspectives or new ways to approach a problem, everyone is willing to learn and listen to each other.
I've worked with my immediate team for several years. We are very close and have a high level of respect for each other. I wouldn't trade that for the world!
team is willing to help all team members
Teamwork and collaboration are the best qualities.
Always willing to help each other out not matter how stretched thin we are we always are there to help each other.
When my coworkers are kind, they are great. When something sets them off, it feels a bit hostile at times. Especially recently.
The Employee Resource Groups are great.
I'm still learning symplr so I'm unable to answer at this time
The fact that we get some peer recognition. I wish there were some small rewards for improvement or hard work.
company inclusive of all employees
The transparency of goals and initiatives.
Rights need to be restored to the worker and the offshoring of work needs to stop. There is no justification for ELT course of action other than to value profits over humans and strip workers of their value.

the challenges in providing the customers with what they expect to receive, even when they are completely unrealistic in those expectations, but still turning them into raving fans
I love the work I do, and I have the autonomy to do my best work.
individuality and trusted employee by leadership
The people I interact with each day.
Helping others brings me joy
Poor communication between departments, too many administrative tasks, processes seem to change weekly, talent under-utilization, lack of training, frequent layoffs, off-shoring of jobs, too much focus on money instead of actually helping customers, products don't seem to be getting better
Customers reach out to sales to get help and want to pay but sales is not even replying to them. We are not supporting our customers unfortunately and it is very sad
Fire the CEO BJ Schaknowski.
The right teams aren't listening to feedback from other teams. Input from our customers often gets overlooked or not seen as important enough compared to internal feedback.
Resource issues have always been a problem, no changes there. Product is poorly tested leaving that testing to the customers to find bugs, puts us in a bad light. However the ELT is all sunshine and roses on company calls, not true to the teams with the boots on the ground.
