Management, even key managers, need to go through a leadership training. Management likes to think that the problems stem from the employees, when they forget that attitudes reflect leadership.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The leadership at individual stores is horrible. The managing partners and their managers treat their employees terribly. They will talk badly about individuals behind their backs to other employees, say they hate an entire position. Tell the front of house employees that the back of house employees
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Recently, my pay got dropped down to $0/hour, it took me a minute to realize it because as a server I only make $2.16/hour, not a huge decrease, so I didn't realize it for a few weeks. I hate that we don't walk home with our cash anymore. That's the whole appeal to serving.
