What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Lighthearted discussion with coworkers throughout the day, and the occasional delightful customer.

What did you like most about the interview process?

The interviewer, who is now a good friend of mine, approached it very casually and created a very welcoming, safe environment. The questions were fairly standard but allowed zone wiggle room for how to approach them desirably.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Wage for veteran workers should increase PROPORTIONATELY to new employee hourly pay. I haven't been with the company more than a year yet am close to an associate who has been there nearly 10. In my eyes this is unacceptable and disparages sticking with the company past short-term.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Most associates are friendly and lighthearted, yet hardworking. But some are simply awful to be around due to constant berating for things going on that could not be helped or changed, or for things associates were unaware of because the manager never gave them the info they NEEDED to have.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Most customers complain and yell about increasing prices only low stock, aiming at the store workers when we aren't in control of any of it, and can't get corporate to provide us more stock when need be, or respond to complaints about admittedly steep price increases on products such as bird seed.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Informing both team leads and associates alike on what to do and when to do it, and to light a fire under those that can't get with the program. Also need to learn how to produce an actually effective schedule that provides everyone with their desired hours/days/time off, instead of screwing us over
