How's the work life balance at Trimble?
Top Employee Response
It depends on the position and your own determination to create the balance. The company will be glad if you work unlimited hours but also doesn't complain if you work hard and go home at a normal time.
I think it's OK. You are expected to work hard during business hours, complete your tasks and go home to have a life. Spending all your time working is actively discouraged in my sector.
Generally Trimble tries to keep the work life balance in perspective, and I believe this is something they are continually working to improve. Managers are typically pretty flexible and understanding, and will try to help you accommodate anything that comes up.

We honestly don’t think about it much. Our focus is on our own work and our own deadlines. We really don’t think about things outside our bubble much
CEO is intelligent and understands the business. He is not however a very effective speaker....
I think he is pretty well regarded. I wish he would communicate with us more, but he needs to have a platform to do so first (intranet or similar).

It depends on the position, manager, and team. Most positions offer some flexibility (a few days a month).
Pretty flexible. It is usually left to the individual manager and employee to determine.
What's the interview process like at Trimble?
Top Employee Response
It's very easy going, typical you'll have 1-2 phone interviews and then 1-2 in-person interviews with several of the team member that you typically would be working with. I know that with qualified candidates, Trimble may accomidate travel for the interview. So don't be discouraged in applying if your not local to a Trimble facility. I was hired by Trimble into there tech support team.
Initial then technical interview, then offer
Typically it starts with a phone interview either with a recruiter or a manager, then an in person interview, which may include a panel or multiple sessions with several different levels within the division. The process can feel slow, especially if they have a lot of candidates.
What's the company culture like at Trimble?
Top Employee Response
siloed - each division does it's own thing. sink or swim mentality
Varies with location, I think.
A combination of laid-back but driven. Things are pretty casual in interactions and very friendly, but you better be getting your tasks done.
How's the vacation policy at Trimble?
Discretionary time off for salaried US employees.
Great (pretty standard). You accrue personal time off based on your years at the company and then use it for sick or vacation.
can you explain to me how profit sharing works throughout Trimble?
At the end of each quarter a profit sharing percentage is made public. Based on your salary, you are paid a portion of this (everyone gets something). In the US this comes in another check with taxes, etc coming out of it.
It is determined by upper management.

They are what you make of them. Don't wait for something to happen, be empowered, step up, and growth happens.
We are not informed of the opportunities in CTCT.
