Q&A With Trimble Employees

Asked to all employees at Trimble

  • Top Employee Response

It depends on the position and your own determination to create the balance. The company will be glad if you work unlimited hours but also doesn't complain if you work hard and go home at a normal time.

  • I think it's OK. You are expected to work hard during business hours, complete your tasks and go home to have a life. Spending all your time working is actively discouraged in my sector.

  • Generally Trimble tries to keep the work life balance in perspective, and I believe this is something they are continually working to improve. Managers are typically pretty flexible and understanding, and will try to help you accommodate anything that comes up.

  • We honestly don’t think about it much. Our focus is on our own work and our own deadlines. We really don’t think about things outside our bubble much

  • CEO is intelligent and understands the business. He is not however a very effective speaker....

  • I think he is pretty well regarded. I wish he would communicate with us more, but he needs to have a platform to do so first (intranet or similar).

It's very easy going, typical you'll have 1-2 phone interviews and then 1-2 in-person interviews with several of the team member that you typically would be working with. I know that with qualified candidates, Trimble may accomidate travel for the interview. So don't be discouraged in applying if your not local to a Trimble facility. I was hired by Trimble into there tech support team.

  • Initial then technical interview, then offer

  • Typically it starts with a phone interview either with a recruiter or a manager, then an in person interview, which may include a panel or multiple sessions with several different levels within the division. The process can feel slow, especially if they have a lot of candidates.

Asked to the Finance Department at Trimble

  • Excellent , most people have the opportunity for job growth if they have the potential.

  • There is very little growth opportunity within the Finance team. It is very easy to get stuck in a position, there is no track for promotion and moving around within Finance, either corporate or Business area gets very political.
