I started working for UL under a different company. UL then purchased my company. This was the best thing that happened to this company. Though it was a little difficult in the beginning, I have since seen changes that have really opened my eyes and made me greatly appreciate the take company more.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
That we are offered some great packages. Though I believe that with a company this size they could come up with a better deal on Insurance with a lower deductible. I greatly appreciate the free life insurance and 401k options.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We all collaborate well together, have fantastic communication, our Supervisor and Lower Manager fair, available, and always willing to step in and do the work right along with the team to insure we get the work completed in a timely manor and aren't over worked or over stressed.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I loved doing that face to face or phone interview. The issue was the process before the interview and the process following the interview that seems to be a big fail. lack of communication and a series of breakdowns cause a lack of hiring of good team members.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
We're stuck in the 80's when it comes to competitive wages, our facility is very miss labeled in defining our job titles and pay, our Upper Management needs retrained or replaced do to their lack of good work ethic and inability to communicate with employees, we are drastically shorthanded too
What makes you most happy at work?
I love working and working for UL was a dream come true. I see the potential for this branch of the company to be a great success if given the right tools, higher wages, more employees, and fixing our upper management issue. I love what I do and what it stands for.
